An accomplished change agent, Russ has worked in some of the most stressed corporate situations – where extraordinary defensiveness inherently exists among teams. Over the course of his career he has successfully managed financial and operational turnarounds, start-ups, divestitures, facility transitions, union contract negotiations and strategic reorganizations. Through it all he has maintained a record of profitable and sustainable performance by affecting the work environment to be more accountable, open and honest. His ability to create a competitive advantage that delivers rapid and sustainable results in any sector is based on a singular common thread – developing effective teams by dramatically improving individual personal development and the interpersonal relationships that people share with each other.
One of the biggest challenges Russ faced during his career, regardless of the industry, is how to effectively support the sales team in consistently growing the top-line in a methodical, proven and accountable way. It was a search for help that led him to DEI and Veritas Training Group, with products focused solely on business development. He was immediately drawn to the work due to its practicality and affordability, along with the technology for providing follow-up and reinforcement.
Russ has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh and has held executive leadership positions with companies ranging from Fortune 200 companies such as Honeywell and James River Corporation, to privately held companies to technology businesses and even a public utility. In those roles he has also had experience working on business development opportunities within Asia and Europe. In addition, Russ is Licensed Human Element Practitioner - LHEP™, LIFO® Method, InBound Marketing Certified and a Lean Manufacturing Green Belt.
