Few managers would say that teamwork is unimportant. In fact, most leaders spend a good deal of their time worrying about and trying to improve teamwork, as part of the overall drive toward greater efficiency and productivity. Nevertheless, it's important to clarify a misconception about teamwork that often leads to dissapointing results. That misconception results from the failure to see the close relationship between team compatibility and productivity.
